I mean - don't get me wrong, I love that city, I love the people in it, I love its crowded streets, I love its miserable bloody weather, I love its stinking river. But the thought of having to go back to it makes me ill.

But I really can't imagine that I'd be any good at it at all. And I'd HATE it. The thought of having to kiss up to people I hate makes me SICK, and I talked it over enough with Mandrake to know that I won't be able to just chuck all the people I hate overboard. But...You know. I promised Mandrake that I'd try, that I'd study so that I can get ready for it, and he's gone now so I can't even take my word back. But that's not who I want to be.
