Oh, I don't know about that one. I can't say that I LOVE it when people fall into that sort of thing, but...I don't think I've necessarily got a right to judge, either.

I dunno if someone's literally mugging you I think you've got pretty good grounds for judgment

You don't have to have led a perfect life to see when someone else is screwing up

Well, yeah...I don't know! The people who are doing the mugging typically aren't the absolutely most destitute of the poor, but they're very often not in a good position, are they. It's why I'm not very fond of the whole anti-crime crusade so many of us have got going on - crime very often comes from desperation, not wickedness.

If anything else it's better to talk to someone who DOES understand who can tell you to knock it off than someone who will just beat the crap out of you in return

Yeah, that's true. GOD, sometimes that makes me so angry, honestly. The people who go around using their powers to stop locals' crimes. I mean, the ones who just try to talk them down, they're fine, but the people who DO beat them up...

They should follow the same rules as the cops. Or as the cops should follow. You step in if you think someone else is in danger but if they aren't then you go for talking. It's only after that that you actually need to take someone down

And I mean I think that people would be a lot more willing to accept advice from people who talk first yknow?

[She's going to learn the truth soon enough, and all those headlines about "Blue Beetle Talks Down Gang, Gang Joins Fanclub" and "Blue Beetle Suggests: "Have You Tried Talking?" will make a whole lot of sense.]

Haha, yeah, I was going to say. There aren't too many cops who ACTUALLY follow the rules, are there. But...Sometimes I don't know! This is their world, and they were living in it and solving their own problems well before we came along. Us meddling with their lives...Doesn't it feel weird?

There are some people who have been away from their own worlds for years. We don't know if it's going to be the same for us but as long as we're here this is our world too. We have nowhere to go home to.

So for now it's our home too.

Maybe...I don't know! It seems like when you come to a new home, you don't immediately start fussing with the things of the person who was already living there, do you? Telling them where they ought to keep things, what they ought to do. And you definitely don't start disciplining their unruly kids for them.

Yeah but people aren't disciplining people for them. They're handing them straight over to the police which are the people who are in authority in the first place. If we actually tried to deal with it ourselves we'd get arrested

We have people like that back home too you know.

Refugees from different planets. Lots of them can't go home because there is no home for them anymore so once they come to Earth they band together with the working government to try and make their new home a better place.

It's not something I'd put a time limit on.
