[ She's trying to process this information while coming up with any valid reason why Jaime would keep something like this from her in the first place. They might not be close friends, but they're allies. Every time they spoke or met up with one another did it ever occur to Jaime to bring up the fact he hosts a weapon dangerous to her and Superman? ]

You never thought for a second that maybe I, of all people, would want to know about you carrying something that could hurt Superman and I?!

[When she puts it like that, he just feels foolish. She's definitely mad at him, but at least he'd prepared for this part... sort of. Booster knows the extent of what he can do now, which is a step in the right direction, he thinks, but at this rate, he's going to have a whole lot of very powerful people who are very uncomfortable with him.]

No, [he says, almost meekly.] I never thought about having it, Power Girl, and I didn't even know it could hurt you guys that much until the whole dreaming thing.

[He shoves his hands in his pockets, shoulders rising up a little.]

[ His answer is very likely genuine, but Peej is too riled up to even consider Jaime's words. The whole time he's had that power — what if it had fallen into the wrong person's hands? How long would he have kept this a secret anyway? ]

That's not making me feel better.

[ It's a knee-jerk reaction, but if Jaime has more weapons at his disposal he isn't aware of or knows how to control, she's worried. ]

I don't — I have no idea what to say to this, Jaime. [ She turns around to retrace her steps, heading for the door. ] This is what you wanted to talk about the last time, wasn't it?

Yeah, it is. Is --

[Oh, god, is she not even going to stay and talk about it? She's even more upset than Superman was, and Superman was attacked by it, though he supposes his anger was mitigated by what he'd done to Jaime in return.

This is actually going more poorly than he'd anticipated, and it makes his stomach twist up in knots, battling between the fact that the people who know what he can do are wary of it, and the fact that they probably should be.]

...are you leaving now?

You could have told me then.

[ She turn the doorknob and pulls the door open, floating a few inches off the ground already. There's no indication she's going to slow down and talk about this today. It's too unsettling for her to want to face just yet. ]

I don't want to deal with this now.

[ She gives him one last annoyed look from over the shoulder and she takes off into the air without another word. ]

[Yikes. Jaime winds up padding across the room to quietly shut the door behind her - though he can't help but look up at the sky, as if he can see her leave (he can't) - and sits back down at his kitchen table, arm flung over its back, and head tilted up so he's staring directly at the ceiling.]

Well, [he declares to what seems like nobody in particular, but having Khaji around means that he's never only talking to himself.] That went horribly.

[(Yes, the Scarab agrees, it did. He has the tact not to suggest that they could get rid of Power Girl if she was a threat which would, all things considered, be something of a misstep.)]

At least we told her.
