Jaime's cell phone is more or less plugged riiiight into his brain, so he tends to pick up like 99% of the time! If not, however...
"Hey, Jaime here! Leave a message, and I'll get back to you ASAP."

Oh I don't know about that. You JUST told me that what you were saying was the truth and you seem pretty confident about that like ninety percent of the time. You don't have to know everything to educate someone
I mean I'm pretty sure a lot of my teachers have known zip but they still gave me a decent education about some things

Look [...and he can't believe he's saying this.] I think you're underestimating how much someone who really cares about what they're talking about can convince people. You don't need to know everything to get other people to really listen and respect you. Who here's called you a guttersnipe anyway?
text
No one. It just feels like they're thinking it.
[ Which...Writing that out makes her wonder if she's not just projecting. Because she really hasn't been treated badly - not for her background, anyway. And her assumption's always been that it's because she's always been decently good at acting like she's from some better background than she actually is, but what if it's really just because it doesn't matter? What if it really doesn't matter that she's unschooled? Would they just listen to her anyway if her ideas were good?
She doesn't know. Which frustrates her. Because Jaime seems so certain, and she feels so doubtful. And she hasn't got any reason to doubt. Which means she probably hasn't shaken off as much of her society's brainwashing as she thought she had. Still a commoner on the inside. ]
You're underestimating yourself, too, you know. People would listen to you. They already do, honestly. Your friends are RIDICULOUSLY loyal.
text
Anyway I never would have thought you were second guessing yourself like this so I think you're doing pretty good as it is. There are always going to be jerks who try and make up reasons not to listen to you but I think they'd do that no matter what. Have a little more faith in yourself but have a little more faith in people too ok? Even if it seems like they're not listening it might get through to their skulls

UGH, I'm sorry, this is so embarrassing! PLEASE don't think that I'm here weeping and paralyzed by my own self-doubts. Or that I need cheering up or anything like that. I'm usually the one giving pep talks, not getting them. Things have just been rotten lately. I'm going to get back on my feet, and when I do, YOU'RE going to get prodded on by ME, I swear it. I'm going to find something you feel down about and cheer at you until you perk up. It'll be a VERY fine vengeance.

[...just keep on waiting for that returning text, Kitty, while Jaime desperately tries to think of what Kitty actually wears.]
text
[ Not...so...much. When she's wearing what she thinks is stylish, it's generally black-on-black. Often with bellbottoms. Most of the time here, she dresses like a greaser girl, leather jacket and culottes. Or sometimes in poodle skirts, when she's trying to fit in with the nicer sorts of locals. Basically, she looks like someone trying hard to look cool. ]
Plus I don't think you actually know enough about clothes to come up with something scathing.
text
[He knows nothing about fashion. That's all excellent fodder, but he can't remember what Kitty's style is.]
Your shoes. They're bad
text
text
Well I mean they're white. That's a bad choice right off the bat cuz they're just going to get dirty and then you've wasted a ton of money on ruined shoes

Also it's too big
[no it's not yes it is HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT DOES HER LEATHER JACKET LOOK LIKE]
