Blood was one thing, but they were also interested in hair and skin — anything you can get DNA from, I think. There were experiments as well as tests, though I couldn't tell you what the purpose was. It was probably to collect as much information as possible; the UE wanted the scientists to finish as quickly as they could. They were examining peoples' cells too.
