Um... sure, I'll do my best to help.

[Jaime's mind doesn't immediately jump to his tracking abilities; he uses those as sparingly as possible for others (though he uses them judiciously himself, underneath the rationale that what the others don't know won't hurt them, morality aside), but he'll waver depending on the person who's presumably gone missing.]

Who is it? What's going on?

[If anything, Kaneda just knows Jaime's been in Heropa for years.]

Maya's checking Heropa. Think you can do a sweep too? With two of you you'll get through it quicker...

I'm looking for Tetsuo. He's...been gone a few days, and he left his comm. I'm only keeping it to Nonah 05 and the people close enough to it.

Tetsuo? A few days?

[Aw, hell. Screw privacy -- Tetsuo had been unstable enough for even Minato to notice it. That's not the kind of thing to take chances on, and he knows that that communicator has to have some skin flakes on it.]

Stay at home anyway, okay? I'm in the area anyway - [no, he's a goddamn liar, but he's flying over there] - and I know how to find him.

[rassera]

[Kaneda does as he's told, hopping down the steps to Nonah 05 but staying at the little lampposts that illuminate the stairs.]

I'll be here.


Wait...you do?

Yeah. I'll tell you more when I get there, I'm, um -- I'm just on the bus over now. Okay? See you soon!

[Click! Someone can't stay on the phone, otherwise Kaneda will hear that telltale whoosh! of flight, and Jaime does not want to have to explain that right now. So he hangs up, and moments later, takes to the sky to fly over. It doesn't take long - he has that route memorized by now, and the suit's meant for flying through space, which means flying across cities is a cinch - and eventually, he lands a couple of blocks away.

Which means all Kaneda will see is Jaime, jogging over from where he presumably got dropped off at the nearest bus stop, and waving one hand in the air.]

Kaneda, hey!

[Was that the sound of someone taking off...or did he just imagine that...

He doesn't know, and he'll ask questions on that later if he remembers. Right now, Finding Tetsuo's his only prerogative, and he just has to rendezvous and track him down. It's not long until he turns at his name, brows raised at just how fast Jaime had made it there--then again. Porters.

That's what it had to be...right?]

Oi.

Maya's got Heropa, and looks like Maurita Falls and De Chima are both too North for him to be. Think if we split up we can triangulate something or....something?

[He's thinking so articulately.]

No -- no, like I said, I don't need any of that. You said you have his communicator, right? Can you go get it and let me see it for a second? I can probably use that to track him down -- or if I can't, then there's gotta be something else around here I can use.

[He stares at Kaneda expectantly, clearly waiting for him to just go and do it without asking any questions. If Kaneda has questions, he can answer them, certainly, but they have more important things to take care of right now, especially if Kaneda's hunch is right.]

[Kaneda's brow raises, not really sure how Jaime's going to track a man with a comm that isn't on the man himself.

It's not like Tetsuo's a cell phone--no matter how much his forehead could pass as an iPad.

Still, he complies, snapping his fingers to pull out his bike and root around in the glove compartment until he stumbles upon it, pulling it out.]

One comm. Freshly used.

[Jaime doesn't turn on the comm. He doesn't even seem to look at it. Instead, he just rolls the comm around in his hands, fingers seeking out the little cranny where the two panels of the comm meet each other, and runs his thumb against it.

There. Skin flakes. DNA. And that's all he needs, really, as he closes his eyes and Khaji rattles a few stats off in his head, being as precise as possible.]

Got it. [He opens his eyes again.] I know where he is. Now we just gotta go find him.
