So, right. I've got a friend who hypothetically might have enormous power. And I have an enemy who's been really vicious and shitty to my friend. Hypothetically. And friend retaliated by pulling the soul out of enemy. Friend is 100% in the wrong, correct? Hypothetically.

Was your friend being attacked at the time?

Also... what does pulling out someone's soul mean? That's a little metaphysical for me to understand right away.

Honestly...It's not entirely clear. It's not like pulling out their soul means they're dead on their feet or anything like that - I guess it deprives him of his sense of morality, to an extent, and it makes him largely unable to empathize with others. Makes him less able to love people.

Anyway, my friend wasn't being attacked. Or, well, he WAS, but attacked verbally, you know. Not physically. It was emotional self-defense, I suppose. So the act itself isn't bad, I think, except that, well, now he's refusing to return his soul.

Oh. Yeah, sorry, your friend's totally in the wrong there. I'm not saying it's not kind of awful to be yelled at but ripping out someone's soul prooooobably isn't the right response to that. Honestly I think I'd rather be dead than go around soulless like that. I mean, isn't that what makes us alive?

So your buddy's gotta return the other person's soul. Do you need any help with all of this? Maybe someone to keep an eye on the soulless dude while he has no sense of morality? Because if someone's willing to attack others verbally with a soul, without one? That might turn physical.

That might not be a bad idea at all. Though...Honestly, I sort of need help with my friend. I tried to get him to give the soul back and it turned nasty. I don't know. I half wonder if I oughtn't steal it.

It's a lot easier to keep an eye on an enemy than a friend huh? Sorry you're in that position. But how exactly do you steal a soul back? Is it in some kind of physical container? Because if it is I'm sure we could think of something

Just a heads up though, I'm totally down to help but magic gets sort of wiggy with me. I won't be able to charge through it like normal.

Oh, no, opposite. It messes with my armor in funny ways. I'm not sure why or how, it just does.

If I had to guess, I'd say I'm probably still hardier than a normal human being. But I don't know, I've never really run across magic while with normal human beings, you know?

I'm pretty sure some magic that should probably kill people only knocked me out but usually knocking me out is supposed to be a lot harder than that

How strange. You get your powers from some other entity, right? Sort of?

I have an alien AI living in my spine, yeah. That's where all my powers come from.
