Maybe not the comatose part. And I'm still not happy he's threatening a kid. But we're superheroes, Beetle. I go evil statistically once a month as you saw in your dream. Having someone be ready for that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Are you seriously defending him? I don't want him to treat me different because I'm younger than him [HECK YES HE'S SHEDDING THAT KID LABEL] I just want to be treated like an actual human being

That's not what I meant at all. If Hal hurts you it will be over my dead body.

[And he means that. Even if Jaime goes rogue, even if what he saw in his dream becomes true, he will protect him. He still thinks it's specially wrong that Hal is doing to someone that much younger, but that obviously isn't going over well so he'll just skip it.]

And it was definitely wrong to just talk to you like that while you were unconscious. But he's been a jerk to you since day one and nothing I say has changed his opinion so I just wasn't surprised.

If something happens and I get mind controlled or reprogrammed or whatever I don't really care if he hurts me.

No it wasn't. But I'll manage. This is not my first rodeo. I just usually have the fortress of solitude when I need some space to myself, harder to get in here with all the restrictions.

Did you know I had the fortress of solitude in the middle of the amazon rainforest once? The Desert might be way more dry, but still. Maybe it's time for me to build me a treehouse of solitude, since I apparently need it to be able to process things like what we just went through.

I didn't actually know that you had a fortress of solitude period. Probably because it was a secret or else it wouldn't really live up to its name?

It lives up to its name because no one gets in unless I tell the fortress so. It's pretty impenetrable. Doubt I will manage to do something similar in here. But yes, I definitely need a me-place.
